I think this would be great when we get the hype up and running in future years. When the amount of people attending starts to increase with 9 and 10 win teams. I think now it might still be measely.

Maybe Madelaine could buy a gelding for each of them to ride from Dallas Hall to the stadium an hour before kickoff. That would be pretty cool.

If the geldings make an appearance on the 'vard before the game I will be sickened.

Come to think of it, since the homecoming parade precedes the official start time of the 'vard this weekend, I guess I ought to expect to see them.

so here we go again. Saddlebronc horses are not broncs, but quasi-broken geldings I guess? What say the members of the PRCA?

from the article:

The University wishes to thank Student Senator Matthew Neman, Student Body Vice President Allison Reyes, Student Senator and Peruna Handler Jake Torres, football Captain Chase Kennemer and teammate Pete Fleps for their leadership and unifying efforts to incorporate gracefully our new horses into the color and pageantry of SMU Mustang football.

Students had a say, as did a Peruna handler. Article also says, Peruna's still doing his thang.

JT, I thought you were Switzerland about the horse issue before, you sound agitated now. As for the press release, it all sounds so forced. Is anybody gonna be there outside Moody to see this walk down the plaza? Talk about crickets.

Nah, I'm still ambivalent, but it's fun to watch the pro-gelding contention get riled up and talking about "family" and "acceptance" and whatnot.
