well if you can't make it to another island-then at least rent a car and head to the other side of Oahu. Honolulu is not Hawaii. Honolulu was quaint about 30 years ago-now its a huge metropolitan area on a beach.

That is the plan. My daughter in law grew up in Oahu and will be giving me all the info I need to fully explore the island. Next trip, I will try another island probably Hawaii.

make sure to go to the north shore and check out Pipeline... Come to think of it they may be holding a tournament that weekend either at Pipeline or Sunset. Northern winter swell is NASTY

seems like we should be able to get a charter arranged if this actually happens. I would think we would at least have enough people going to fill a plane or two. i would save your miles for africa. i highly recommend it.
