I have personally attended several games, including, Tulsa, Houston and TCU, to see what they do. Like all things, I think we are better in certain areas and need a bit more tweaking in others. I guarantee you that what we do is an absolute team effort and commitment by our team. All of us are committed to continually improve with each passing game event. We, are like our beloved Mustangs. Excited to be on the field and give 110% effort to have a winning team.

P.S. I did three tours in Vietnam, so I think my skin is tough enough.

One idea:

Szymanski is pronounced "suh-MAN-ski" ... not "sizzamansky" or whatever is being said.

Other than that, you're a great improvement over the last guy. Welcome to SMU and to PonyFans.com.

Sorry to disappoint, not a Troll. I'll be at the Women's Prelim tonight at Moody @ 7:00 p.m. against Abilene. I'll be the handsome, older guy with the Mustang horizontal stripped blue and white shirt. :D

I'm very impressed you identified yourself on this forum. It shows your sincerity and desire to be successful. Above suggestions are great and keep reading this board and you will get some worthwhile input to improve on your job. I think you’ve already won over a bunch of us with just your first post. Nice indeed. Good luck.

Been to the SFA and the ECU games and the one thing that I would mention is working on balancing the speakers. Being an ex-sound guy from Meadows I understand that can be a real challenge in a space like that but it needs it.

If you sit at the 50 on the west side the speakers can be way to loud but as you move out towards the 20 it isn't to bad. Not sure how much control you have but I would work on the level and potentially the angle of the speakers.

Also I would recommend a sound engineer listen to the entire broadcast to catch the various issues that have been mentioned on this board this year, like the feedback, hearing symphony music, scratching noises, balancing the gal on the mic, etc.

Some of this could require significant infrastructure costs if we don't have the right equipment but it needs to get on the radar for next years budget.

Well, I like the band on the mic. maybe cut the mic when they are just hanging out and talking. didn't like the junky loud music they had last year. so there you have it. we don't all always agree.

 , yeah, already told Coach to tell Matt at the Mustang Club luncheon today, that I was finally told by Ryan Moczygemba and family, that the press kit which shows pronunciations, shows it as "Sizz-Man-Ski"... is wrong. Nobody told me differently until I was at the Saturday Victory party.

The "Sizz" is dead.

You don't know music..it's just white noise coming out...then again maybe you like white noise..they sound TERRIBLE>>>>if you like hearing just french horns last week you got your wish....

Sit in 204 & 205 the sound delay is awful..you get this horrible echo effect.

David,
First I thought this past Saturday against Rice was the best of the year.

What I'd like to see are more national scores. Like the angle of getting all of the Texas schools in, but running other scores would be nice just for the sake of doing it. I know other schools run the national scores.

Like the statistical numbers at the end of each quarter, but I wasn't sure how the passing attempts and completions were adding up. And if you could add a statistical leader in rushing, passing and receiving (only one) that would be great.

Oh, and cut the mic for the band. The echo on the east side is a bit troublesome.

I just appreciate someone working hard to improve the product.

No Big 10 scores, please
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I totally understand what you are saying...... but as I'm sure you know, we only have certain power and a short leash to go "rogue". There is a set in concrete the way things have always been done and, as an employee of sorts for the school, we are given certain parameters that are considered an "absolute must" for us to do. That said, having joined this site as a way to get real feedback from the very folks we are striving to do a great job for..... it won't be an overnight massive napalm strike..... but we will seriously try and negotiate issues with the bosses as we continually try to improve the product that is seen and heard as a compliment to what is taking place on the field.

Keep the ideas coming......
