Gary Patterson will be the next coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Thoughts?

I will not allow that to happen. I like him and do not like the Irish.

I am surprised he is still there. But at this point, I won't be surprised if he stays at TCU 20 years.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If Weiss is let go, Brian Kelly is the perfect person to take over that job. He's a GREAT coach.

I'm hearing Paul Johnson is a coach they may also be looking at.

Rather than a play for the heavy TCU coach?

Brian Kelly is every bit as good a coach and being from that part of the country would be more familar with the geography as it pertains to recruiting. Of course ND recruits nationally to some extent so that may or may not be that big of issue. Bottom line though its he is a fabulous coach, just look at what he is doing at Cincy after losing his entire defense to the NFL/graduation.

I'm not sure that they are ready to go down that road (hiring a Georgia Tech coach) just yet.

They should be considering they were handled by Navy and their triple option. Although I agree it might be a long shot..
