My understanding is that they are professional horse trainers paid by Madame Pickens for this year. They will come under the equestrian team's handling next year.

*yawn* I still can't figure out how you have so much free time to post on ponyfans. Isn't it time for you to give Orsini his daily foot rub? I don't know who is more emasculated...the geldings or YOU?

Maybe he has to work on securing "Bullet" as a backup for the geldings:

Can we at the VERY least get the saddles and riders off the mustangs. This looks soooooooo ridiculous.
It would be okay if you had the trainers walking the horses without the saddles. It's beyond bad. This is worse than that Pony Up song. It does not work. I understand the idea but the execution is way off.

The players don't look very excited to be walking behind the geldings. At least when they were walking from Perkins to Ford via the blvd., some of them clapped along with the fight song and looked happy to see the fans' and band support.

Get rid of the riders and saddles, etc. Have handlers walk 'em.

I don't care much about this one way or another.
I will say that people who grew up in Texas probably have a hard time understanding how unbelievably dorky this (and Houston's blazer outfits and Texas Tech's horse and rider getup, and so on) looks to the rest of the non-Texas born world.

Yes, because it's all about clapping along with the band. Look, a lot of players at a lot of schools look like they're in a trance, with their headphones, etc. The vast majority of them are so focused and intense at this point that they barely interact with those around them. If they're jumping up and doing high-fives with the fans, there's more reason for concern. Sure, it's nice to pat them on the back, but it means nada if they actually look "excited."

Student Senate resolution results: 32 - In favor of Peruna being ONLY mascot in Ford Stadium 3 - Against Peruna being ONLY mascot in Ford Stadium Those Mustangs sure do have a lot of support.
I guess VarsityShop doesn't have a company line to combat this.
