SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Actually General, This is a major step up for the SMU posters. They have improved from total desperation and negativity and hoping we could win 4 or 5 games if we were real lucky to those who are now hoping we don't slip up against someone we should beat if we play well and others like me who are mad we are not 7-2.
