OK I'll throw the "poor People" a bone since the Ashton Duhe and Kyle Guinyard commitment just hit the ESPN ticker. He's basically the most productive WR in Texas High School Football when he was healthy over the last 2 years with about 2,134 yards receiving on 133 catches with about 25 TDs in about 15 games. So that's about 14 catches and about 142 ypg and 1.66 TDs per game. Here's a highlite. His 2008 Junior Year was one of the 6 best in 4A History and was in the Top 10 in Total Receptions and Total Yards in 4A History. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga0Oc-GPFJw

While I hate that the kid got hurt, I'm grateful that he chose to try to rehab with us.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

So what's the actual injury story on this kid? My understanding is that he is out for the rest of this season. Did other schools back off? Sounds like a fantastic football player.

Had quite a few offers including Tech. From my understanding, he was probably going to commit to Tech but was sorta looking around and not in a big hurry and they rescinded the offer when he tore his ACL. I'd guess a lot of his BCS offers didn't rescind when they heard of the injury but probably slowed their recruitment while we probably stepped up and confirmed our commitment to him.

isn't an ACL injury usually a 12-16 month process to get fully recovered? After RS year, this kid could be a beast with Darius and Ricky Collins.

I'm rehabbing my second torn ACL so I have a little experience... he should be back by the start of next year if all goes well.
