I don't know, but from our perspective in a non-BCS conference, I kind of feel like we didnt land on Plymouth Rock, but Plymouth Rock landed on us

As someone whose family has been on these shores for more than 380 years, allow me to say not by my choice have we taken such a regrettable turn.

As someone whose family has been on these shores for more than 1000 years, allow me to say that in a democracy what is popular is always right, and what is right is always popular.

For the record, I voted for McCain.

Back on topic, I can't imagine the BCS willingly take another conference into its fold. Why share the wealth when you don't have to?

Nice. Never thought I'd see a Malcolm X reference when I started reading this thread

Heck some of my ancestors met the freaking settlors, probably scalped a few and then the settlors unfairly shot guns at them when all we had was spears and arrows. The other side of my family showed up at Ellis Island around 1880.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

It would shut up all the schools who have had a legit complaint about their bowl games coming from non-BCS conferences, thus helping to keep the system from takign more public criticism.

Exactly. The biggest threat to the BCS right now are interested Senators and Congressmen from Utah, who are the loudest about breaking up the cartel through legislative action because their beloved schools aren't invited to the party. The minute the BCS lets in the MWC, Orin Hatch and most others decrying the evils of the BCS system will shut up and the BCS will have no remaining natural enemies.

No use worrying about it. As long as our administration & all the other non-cartel member administrators keep wimping out, we'll always be where we are today - sitting on the outside looking inward while waiting for basketball to turn around & praying for a baseball team!

The minute the BCS lets in the MWC, Orin Hatch and most others decrying the evils of the BCS system will shut up and the BCS will have no remaining natural enemies.

Couldn't have said it any better myself - Diamond M.

But from what I've read from other sources - this will happen. Where there's smoke there is fire
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

They are under no serious threat and they are not going to divide the pie into smaller slices until they are. The yacking from Utah is just noise.
