Maybe JJ doesn't like playing SEC teams. :D

I do see us being more competitive with a team that would play in the Hawaii Bowl than an SEC team in the Liberty (except maybe Kentucky or a similar team). From a Dallas SMU fan perspective, I would think Liberty would be a natural choice.

HOWEVER, we've not been invited to any bowls yet, we still have games left to play, and I'm thrilled with the progress this team has made. At this time, any bowl is a good bowl.

I hope everyone that flamed me now sees what a selfish egomaniac June is....don't let him rook us into the Hawaii Bowl, even if we win the conference...We want the Liberty Bowl.

That was the stupidest comments I have ever heard in a post game interview..."I hope we can still go to Hawaii even if we win the conference..ECU can go to the Liberty Bowl"...

June Jones is a egotistical dumb [deleted] and we as ponyfans cannot let him get away with it.

Course, maybe he is afraid of an SEC team after Georgia spanked him in the Sugarbowl

Certainly entitled to your opinion, but after today, you might want to lay low for a few days before you start spouting this drivel.

How stupid are you?

Yes its good we won...but don't give June a free pass saying we should go to the Hawaii Bowl, even if we win the conference..that is not acceptable...

Maybe Hawaii is what the seniors want do do. Think about their time spent at SMU. Talk about a great send off!

No way I am getting mad at a Coach that is about to take us to a the first bowl game in 25 years. Plus the pub in Hawaii may be better. Anyway regfards of where we go let's just enjoy the moment for now.

Orsini needs to tell June to shut up about this. If we end up in Memphis the last thing you want is that they think we arent happy to be there.

I want the Liberty bowl. Don't give two hoots if June is annointed hawaiian sun god or whatever it is he seems fixated on.....

Hawaii now pays 700,000. Unless they changed it-Liberty Bowl does NOT have to take champion-but there was discussion of changing it-anybody know for sure?

It will cost the University 1.4 million to go to Hawaii instead of the Liberty Bowl.

I'm fine with Hawaii if June pays the difference.

Come on you sheep...the C-USA conference champion goes to the Liberty Bowl...maybe they don't have to take the champion, but they always do...its a more prestigous bowl on a better day against a better opponent...

If we don't win the conference, so be it, we can go to Hawaii...but we should be demanding the Liberty Bowl if we win it all....
