Not me. I would have been happy with 4 wins this year. Congrats to the team.

This is one heck of an accomplishment by some young kids. We are not senior dominate. We are still young. We have kids that have never been in a winning situation. We have kids that have not experienced the pressure of winning the close games and making the big plays when needed. These kids are doing all that for the first time.

That is one heck of an accomplishment for our kids. Hats off to them.

And it feels great for us old timers as well.

I think you're a little off on your first statement. these kids are young. 48 frosh & soph. those guys are here b/c they were on winning teams in high school. that's part of why June brought them here. b/c they understand winning. getting the losing attitude/mentality out of the program is what june has done.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

The announcer at the game sucks.

He said we were tied for first and had to be corrected

Winning in high school and winning in college are two different things. It takes a lot more from the kids to win in college. The speed, size and hitting in college is a whole different animal than HS. Also, the level of intensity are not even close. For young kids to find ways to win at the college level against teams that have better talent is truly a remarkable accomplishment.

8-4 is now possible

Postby Sam I Am » Sat Nov 14, 2009 8:30 pm

OK, we ought to go 7-5 and 8-4 is a real possibility. So then we win the C-USA title game and go 9-4. If we win a bowl game, this could be a 10-4 season. I am giddy. Barkeep, another round for the house.

Isn't it great that after a game this is the big complaint -- the announcer said we are tied for first when we are first?

The guy is human -- working in real time -- quickly corrected himself.

He also tried to get the crowd to make noise, when SMU was on offense

i love everyone
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Its a baby step thing. First, learn how to make noise. Then learn when to apply.
