Exactly
I didn't realize my post was do funny. Obvious...probably, but funny?
You effectively said the same thing Stallion did. I responded to Stallion's post by saying 'Exactly' Lwedge responded to your post by saying 'Exactly' So I thought you deserved an 'Exactly' post as well from me.

Ahhh...exactly.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

There is a reason Orsini and Jones are sponsoring the June Jones Bus Brigade to bring in 10,000 local kids to the game. The admistration knows that the attendance will be down and they are going to bus in 10,000 freebies. Assuming the stadium will be full because we are winning is a great leap of faith. Again, I will be there. I am driving in from Sherwood, Arkansas on a Thanksgiving weekend.

We're going to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. I told the Mrs that we are coming back on Friday.

Attendance for last two post-Thanksgiving games isn't so hot: 08 vs. Southern Miss - 13,020 07 vs. UCF - 10,271 I would hope/expect a media blitz to perk up attendance if we beat Marshall.

Here is the update as of last Thursday: To date, we have 117.33 buses sponsored (which will result in 5,867 extra people) for our final game against Tulane. As mentioned, our goal is to hit 200 sponsored buses (10,000 extra people in the stands). We have just 82.67 sponsored buses to go!

I'll be there along with my family. Hopefully atleast 30% of the students will be there...and I feel like that's a stretch.

what was our record in each of the last two? Since they were back to back 1-11 seasons - I'm just guessing we were so far out of contention for anything that they are not good indicators.
Not saying Tulane is a big attendence draw - but we will do better then the last couple of years by a big margin - hoping for 20k
we can all help by talking it up amongst our peers. Sell it as a great way to avoid having to actually talk to your relatives. Or better yet - get a hall pass and take some buds.

It's Pine Bluff. You'd leave as early as you could too.

I get around leaving from Pine Bluff early by never going there. No offense to your in-laws.

Yeah...I was at that UCF game. There may have been 5,000 actual people there. Very depressing.

You're fine. Wished we were doing Thanksgiving in Fayetteville with the sister in-law. It'll work out. We can leave late around noon and get home around 6. I'm just glad there is a reason to really, really want to leave early.

How does one sponsor 0.33 of a bus?
