Why Chemistry MattersIf you want to understand how the little things and how chemistry play a big role on this team, you watched it when Sterling Moore got hurt. I thoroughly was impressed with every defensive player getting around Moore, praying for him and tapping him on the shoulder to let they know they had his back. You don't see that too often.
I think that's why they probably never doubted themselves that they would stop UTEP in that final drive. You get Rock Dennis on the big pass break-up on third down and Taylor Thompson with the sack to finish it. (NOTE -- Taylor Thompson is going to have a huge career here.) As I have stated many times before, if you're going to start getting it right on the field, you need to first get it right in the locker room and have guys start trusting in each other. That is one element that Tom Rossley, Mike Cavan and Phil Bennett couldn't do. I'm not a big fan of June Jones, but when you get guys into buying your way of doing business and they trust you, then they start to trust each other. I'm proud of what they have done. But it's not over. I do not care to visit Honolulu for Christmas. I want to ring in the New Year on Beal St. Go Mustangs!!! BTW, it's kinda cool hugging people you don't even know when you're in a state of euphoria. S-M-U!! S-M-U!!
Re: Why Chemistry Matters
Not picking on you, General, but I've seen Beale St. spelled several different ways on this board. It's Beale.
Re: Why Chemistry MattersHow does Jessica spell it? I think it is Biel
Re: Why Chemistry MattersThe chemistry on the team is top shelf.
Some of the players were in Campisi's after the game, staff members were there also, and the "togetherness" is true and refreshing. As the General noted, this type of team attitude will take us a long way. And this exists with the starters right down to the redshirts. I've seen upper classmen hanging out with freshmen with mutual respect. Really great. It makes one REALLY want them to win out. AWESOME! Go Ponies!
Re: Why Chemistry Matters
Not picking on you, but is it really isn't necessary to correct somebody on something that is pretty much irrelevant to the main idea of the post? Is it that big of a deal, that the spelling of the street's name is correct or incorrect? You don't have to correct people over everything. Calm down. Sometimes, less is more. Talent is the great starting agent, chemistry is the sealing agent that makes a program successful year after year after year.
Re: Why Chemistry Matters
When it's already been spelled on the board 4 different ways, it's time to set the record straight. I am sorry that you were the #4 that made it a necessity to correct it, but there you are. Oh, and I was quite calm about it...if I calmed down further, I'd probably pass out. You are absolutely correct re: chemistry.
Re: Why Chemistry Mattersif any of you have an issue I suggest you settle it like men outside somewhere along Binklie ave
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
Re: Why Chemistry Matters"...not a big fan of June Jones.." That says VOLUMES about you, Gomer....jeeezzz.
Re: Why Chemistry Matters
Well, it really doesn't matter what I think. It matters what the 85 kids in the locker room think of him and if they believe in him.
Re: Why Chemistry Matters..and you add.."sometimes, less is more.." HA!! Do you ever proof your ramblings?!? You are so full of prunes, dude...
Re: Why Chemistry Matters
You probably just need to worry about what you do, and I'll worry about what I do. You appear to be more concerendkeidh about my rambmleings moreeee thannii I dooi. and weather or nit I priof them. but usualllyywh my speilllinng is pretetye good. BTW, you already exercised your line about the prunes. Try something else. Go Mustangs!! Last edited by George S. Patton on Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:15 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Why Chemistry MattersOh, I know it does. And as long as it sets off you and 2112112112112112112112112112112112112112, then perfect.
You guys can't believe that I'm not a big Jones fan in spite of this success. That's fine. I'm not a big fan of him. I don't like his offense and personally, he just rubs me the wrong way. And you know what, that's OK. At least I know I don't his [deleted] blindfolded like some on the board do.
