So on texags, there is a thread talking about a cult member who attended our game Saturday. Obviously, it couldn't compare to aggy, and then a mom of a recruit gets on and talks about her recruit son who liked what he saw with SMU saturday. Anyways, kind of funny. http://www.texags.com/main/forum.reply. ... forum_id=5

rhutton, My son has been blessed and is considered to be a four star recruit. He has not decided on what to school to attend. We have visited A&M and were very impressed with the coaches, campus and the game day experience. Saturday we were in Dallas visiting family and decided to attend the SMU game. My son visits the team forums and he was shocked to see this post. Perhaps math and history are not your strong points. SMU has approximately 6000 undergrads (doesn't make a lot of alums) on campus. A&M has 48,000 (per website). I'll let you tell me that maybe 20K-30K at an SMU game is equal to 200,000 at an A&M game. SMU played their hearts out! In speaking to the people around us, 20 years is a long time without a winning record and this was very emotional win for the few that stuck with SMU through the years. No, they probably wouldn't beat your Aggies. This is a school that had football cancelled for two years and until the hiring of June Jones were reluctant to recommit to the football program. SMU is not like A&M and never will be. My son is stil considering A&M, but his father and I would not be surprised if he gave Mr. Jones a call Monday morning. Good luck Aggies for the rest of the season!

66. SMU (6-4) BUZZ: The Mustangs are bowl eligible one season after finishing 1-11. Even better: They control their destiny in the C-USA West Division race. NEXT: Saturday, at Marshall. 67. UCF (6-4) BUZZ: UCF kept its slim hopes alive for the C-USA East crown by shocking Houston. In the process, the Knights became bowl eligible. NEXT: Saturday, vs. Tulane. 68. Middle Tennessee State (7-3) BUZZ: The Blue Raiders have won four in a row and are looking to finish 5-1 at home this season with a win over Arkansas State. NEXT: Saturday, vs. Arkansas State. 69. Texas A&M (5-5) BUZZ: The Aggies -- coming off a 55-point beatdown at the hands of Oklahoma -- better win this week if they want to go to a bowl. They close the season vs. Texas. NEXT: Saturday, vs. Baylor.

that thread cracked me up...I'll take our traditions any day over the ags extremely gay ones (ta la la, squeeze your nuts, male cheerleaders wearing milk delivery uniforms, and hissing or whatever the hell they do). Can't wait to beat the hell out of them in 2011 in the "always packed Kyle fiel." What a joke. Texas will be beat them by 50

Court won't hear complaint about Redskins name By JESSE J. HOLLAND
Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court won't hear an appeal from a group of Native Americans who think the name of the NFL's Washington Redskins football team is offensive.
The high court on Monday turned away an appeal from Suzan Shown Harjo. That ends the latest round in the 17-year court battle between the Redskins and a group of American Indians who want them to change their name.

SMU decided they were going to compete and got the best coach they could get.
We decided to take a blast from the past and ended up with a coach worse than fran.
It must be nice to have those who control the football program actually care about winning.
If we continue to suck, our gameday experience will suffer. People are not going to continue to shell out the money, time and energy to support a program that gets pummeled regularly.
