Rumor in Atlanta is that PJ called up the Orange Bowl and told them not to bother - he's taking Georgia Tech to the EagleBank Bowl to play Navy.

I doubt the truth in this. Wouldn't it be the AD calling the Orange Bowl and not the head coach?

I think that is a good move. Better PR move. Good press is more important than money for a struggling athletic department
