Cowherd. He speaks the truth but that is the problem. There are 10-12 helmets that can play for the championship and that is it. Texas gets by with a horrible schd but you couldn't get Herbstreet and Craig James lips off their helmet with acid.

In the meantime, we will just continue kicking as$.

Congrats on your own bowl run btw. June and GP could have quite the rivalry if things keep up. Way more fun that way.

I look at this from a recruiting perspective. TCu recruits locally, UT recruits nationally, as do Bama and Florida.

Plus, as a recent Texas High School football player, if the guys you were playing next week were UT commits, you knew about it and had already soiled your pants twice thinking about it. TCU commits were D-I studs alright, but didn't invoke any fear like that.

Alabama has played 4 thank you. Virginia Tech, Mississippi, South Carolina, and LSU. I have ties to Bama as my son is going there, but if TCU played Bama's schedule I don't think they would be undefeated. Week after week of playing top competition drains you. TCU plays a weak MWC schedule. Getting up for two teams in conference isn't as hard. They barely beat a mid BCS team in Clemson. We played heads up with them for a half.

Yawn... Schedule us a$shole and the crimson tide will be pouring from previous said hole! Otherwise stfu! Lamest argument ever.

Sounds like you need a diaper. Maybe you're older now so depends? You're locked into who UT recruites. GP doesn't give an "S". Easily half our starters would start for them. Not sure the reverse is true. We are almost as big and are faster. OU coaches mentioned that last year. Fastest "D" they played outside of FLA.

BTW, what National recruits does UT have?

Easy frog, don't let that win over utah get you too hyped up. TCU players are the Texas rejects that didn't get offered. That's a fact. Texas by a landslide...especially in a title game

Did you somehow miss this part of the article?

The Horned Frogs have defeated three teams currently ranked in the top 25 (Clemson, BYU, & Utah). Alabama has defeated just two teams currently ranked in the top 25 (Virginia Tech, LSU) while Florida (LSU) and Texas (Oklahoma State) have defeated just one each.

Sorry, but the old knee-jerk "quality opponents" argument just doesn't hold true this year.

It will be an SEC team vs. UT unless UT steps on its proverbial you know what. You can book that. If UT stumbles, then it becomes a circus. You would then have to think about undefeated TCU, Boise, one loss Alabama/Florida, and undefeated Cincy. Ohio State might also get added to the discussion as well. Luckily no ACC or Pac 10 nominees. I think if UT stumbles, TCU would get a long look with Cincy and Boise. UT controls its destiny. It knows that if it wins out, its there. TCU needs help still. No way, it gets voted in over UT through no fault of their own. Its just being in that sorry MWC. Luckily for them in a way, SMU has caught fire and looks like it will be bowl eligible. SMU will actually help their RPI this year and this bodes well for future years.

I certainly understand your "good-natured?" hatred of TCU but we have more wins (3) over top 25 BCS teams than Alabama (2), Florida (1), Texas (1), Cincy (1) or Boise(1). And 2 of those wins were on the road. Look at the schedules and you might be surprised at how weak Florida's sched is and also UT. The Big 12 and SEC ain't that great right now...

Who cares what they were ranked at the time? Ole Miss and South Carolina are no better than Clemson and are not ranked today.

College football is suffering through a very Yawn-type of season, SMU's resurgence notwithstanding. I just don't the quality of play overall has been that great. And I'm sorry, that Heisman Trophy list with candidates is pretty boring.

It's been a disappointing season as far as I'm concerned. And I don't like to say that because I love college football.

The skids are greased for SEC champ vs. UT match-up. That may change if UT steps in it. I would not be surprised if UT stumbled to see Cincy vault up to the top ahead of TCU. Otherwise if UT wins out and FL/Bama goes undefeated in the SEC, then it will be those two teams. The new voting rules (without the AP writers) ensures that their boys get in. Fairness has nothing to do with it, ask Boise, ask Hawaii, ask Tulane.

unfortunately, TCU is legit and can play with anyone in the country. Mr. Hughes gives them that luxury.
