How do we matchup with Tulane?

Postby Pony_Fan » Mon Nov 23, 2009 9:00 pm

Are we going to see another last minute miracle or an actual outright win? They went toe to toe with UTEP. Rice seemed to handle us pretty good but have improved throughout the year.

Matchup issues on Offense or Defense? I assume they'll run it most of the game.

Wow.... what do you scout as they only had 50 FIFTY---- TOTAL YARDS LAST WEEK? (sorry for shouting)
If we hold them to three times ( 150 yards) their total from last week, we will be doing good and should dominate the Green Wave.....

The greenies cashed in early at UCF last week.

If they are down by 10 or more in the second quarter, they will likely fold.

Start strong and finish them early.

we should not be over confident playing anyone; Tulane scores 1st or gets up early and this will be a battle. Looking at our composite scores and stats, you would not think this SMU team would own a winning record

play well, guys...and beat Tulane!

Tulane does have 2 outstanding players WR Jeremy Williams and RB Andre Anderson. Anderson was injured last year and quite frankly I haven't really seen many of their games to check his progress but as a Sophmore he was as good as there was in the Conference. He has almost 1,000 yards rushing even though he got zilch last week. Williams is reputed to be an NFL talent and has about 79 catches for 1,039 yards. So they have their Shawnbray and Emanuel caliber athletes at RB and WR. We squeeked by Rice, lost to Washington St and struggled with Texas State. I think we ought to prepare for a fight-and I am serious by the way.

We can't disagree as EVERY game will be close as we have demonstrated all year....but really can't we beat these guys pretty bad?

Bottom line is we have to play well.

Important for momentum for the bowl game and next year.

Not to mention recruiting.

you would hope but we give up big yardage to every team...I expect a tough game once again. Unless McNeal and Sanders have huge games. No lead is safe with this team.

Like every game, this one's gonna be a fist fight. We need to show up for 4 quarters Saturday.
