SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Great job! The film looks amazing and when it hits local theatres I will go!

I liked the Explosions in the Sky touch too.

My two sons sat with me and just watched this...

Thad, in all sincerity, that piece was as strong a piece of film-making as I have ever seen, theatrical, documentary, or otherwise.

My oldest (12) was visibly moved...as am I.

Wow. I am simply speechless. The full version will be something to see...truly.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

The first half of that game was not very well performed by us. Meyer gabe his speeches after we had had our position meetings with our various coaches. It was the final speech before we went back on the field. Meyer started with his usual business like talk and then slowly worked his way up to an emotional speech of which a small portion is presented in this trailer. That is why I remember this speech. And it worked.

what game was that? It looks like the other clips in the trailer were from Tulane

ThadFilms wrote:I know it's the wrong pony. My graphics guy in LA did not. We were under a time crunch to get this out to a couple media outlets - and as this was not for public consumption, I didn't make him change it. But since it's now out there, enjoy despite the incorrect pony! (And I am a stickler for that kind of thing - okay EVERYTHING - rest assured it will be corrected.)

Was in a hurry when I sent that, sorry, didn't mean to be so abrupt. The trailer is fantastic and I can't wait to see the finished product. That pony is just about my biggest pet peeve - I can't stand it and wish there was some way to get rid of it.

Thanks for the sneak peek!

Absolutely incredible stuff.
If it's released in Dallas only, I'll gladly drive up for the premiere (has anyone ever driven an hour and a half to see a movie before?)

great looking film. Wish i thought if it myself. i definitely think it has national appeal as a true american story. Way to go. If ESPN doesn't want it, im sure HBO will..........which actually seems like a better place for it. Suggestion (and take it for what it's worth)..........mention the following for some perspective:

1. SMU has the 5th most NFL Hall of Famers out of any college
2. Multiple National Champion Titles
3. Is a small private school
4. Doak Walker
5. Used to whip UT's [deleted] in their house on a regular basis (not just some UAB upset over Alabama)

Great work. Don't let HB Pony Dad try to convince you the oversized Craigslist monitor has anything to do with your talent.

And you go on pretending that it is just "a big accident" that Orsini/Jones are the ones that were able to get those things changed and that Orsini/Jones are really no different than their predecessors except some "big accident fell from the sky" and the rules magically changed. That is in fact the point Stallion....those other guys for whatever reason did not have the "stroke" to get the changes made....Orsini/Jones did....and tah-dah we are on the cusp of 7 wins.

ps: thadfilms great work!...Love it!
