Has anyone taken the next step to buy game tickets yet? Or are you waiting to buy from SMU travel? I've looked at the Sheraton Bowl website and the Aloha Stadium website and can't figure out which sideline the Conf USA team will be on, or where the fans will sit. I'm guessing its the Mauka side. $45 for 20th row 50 yardline.

I'll bet that unless UH wins out, one could take the jtstang approach and buy a $5 ticket to watch from the catwalk that connects the endzone to the grandstand and go sit on the 50.

The flight over is on a 777 they are fabulous.

Unless you are on a special charter to HNL, AA only flies the 767-300 to HNL or OGG from DFW. Try http://seatexpert.com/ or http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/American_Airlines/American_Airlines_Boeing_767-300_B.php.

If you can't get the upgrade get in row 17. These are crew rest seats on longer flights over 8 hours but you can usually grab one or 2. They are coach seats that have more legroom and have a foot rest.

Also, if you are in Waikiki go visit Duke's http://www.dukeswaikiki.com/. Love the action, the location, and the food.

I believe Mestengo is flying United.

Meanwhile, I've snagged at least one seat in 17.

edit: just checked...got 17 all the way over. Another exit row on the way back.

FWIW, flight 8 on the way back is filling up quickly, even since two days ago.
