I know everyone is concerned about getting a DT in this class. Maybe the Hawaii bowl will be benificial.

A little small for a 3-4 nose tackle, don't you think? Maybe we could bring him in and redshirt him to give him a chance to grow.

I wouldn't worry about 6-2, 255 as long as he is is as strong as some of the Hawaiian kids and can move. Rather have that that a fat kid. Jerry Ball was a 6-1(or 6.05), 245 RB on signing date. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised one day if Don Canyon ends up being a 6-4, 290 pound Defensive Tackle.

I hope you are right re: Don Canyon. We need some solid (i.e. big, strong, athletic) DTs quickly.

Chris Parham was 230 out of high school..dont worry about what they currently weigh in high school. A college strength and diet program can add some significant size to some of these guys who need to bulk up

Geez, how big is Don Canyon now? Going from Quarterback to DT would be a first.

I do not know who they are but I am sure that Stallion does, but TV announcers always say that Patterson recruits QBs and turns them into DLs.

Close to what I thought. They probably said Patterson recruits offensive players and turns them into DLs.

I thought Panfil was a QB in high school. No? Did he have a brother or something?

not sure-I've asked Armen to ask him but I've seen several highlites reels that seems to indicate that he is bigger than the reported 6-2

maybe he can just be a jumbo QB, like a black version of Jared Lorenzen from Kentucky a few years ago, Daunte Culpepper, Bruce Eugene, etc
