Senior Walk

Postby FWMustang » Sat Nov 28, 2009 10:53 pm

I love this new tradition. We have stuck around for this last year and today. It is so refreshing to see the genuine love this staff has for the kids. What a great opportunity for the team and the fans to share the moment and celebrate the Seniors' efforts. My two little girls had a blast. I hope this is one of those things that all the kids running around out there will remember and relish, and ultimately become lifelong SMU fans.

And I can't say enough about our players. Chris Banjo came and picked up our little one to take a picture, then helped find Youri Yenga to come over because our girls wanted a picture with him. I got to meet the Fleps over at TCU an again tonight. I could go on and on and on about the character of the people associated with this program. Winning with character: it makes it all worth it. Now we don't feel guilty about our two (soon-to-be three) little girls being SMU fans.

It really looks like a real family is being created here..that is what made me tear up after the game..the genuine hugs from the coaches with the players and their family members is not fake and the recruits noticed as well....you could feel it..I wish the players would slap hands along the first row on our side as well after the game...

You know you're capturing the younger generation when they ask "Can we stay after the game to meet the players on the field?" That's what my stepdaughters and their friend asked. Gotta love it!

Re: senior walk. What was the order they went in? By alphabet or numbers? And is Josh Bryant a senior because he's listed as a junior on the roster but I'm pretty sure he was the first senior to walk out to coach Jones and he was wearing #22.
