A Few Thanks Are In Order Here

1st off I wanna thank Special Delivery (Mark Finn) and ALL his people for such a warm tailgate welcome to me and my friends, before the Tulane game. Thanks for letting me hang out at the best tailgating tent on the hilltop.

I used to work under the Finn Family when they was One Hour Delivery, back some 20 plus years ago, on the "Downtown Crew" with my best friend Glenn Sosbee. One of the best jobs I ever had!

2nd, after the game I was blessed to get to be down on the field during the celebration and Glenn and I even got a picture with coach June Jones, a real class act and one of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet. SMU you made one fine choice, in not only your hiring of coach Jones, but in your very smart extension of his contract and hopefully one of the greatest coaches out there, will end his career right here on the hilltop at SMU. Go Ponies!

As far as great SMU football moments that I have experienced in 35 years of pony fandom, last nights win over Tulane has to rank in the Top 3. The magnitude of what SMU finally accomplished after being pissed on by the NCAA 20+ years ago was overwhelming. Very special.

Welcome back Ponies. I'm ready to make up for lost time. Whoever we play in the Hawaii Bowl, I hope we take two decades of misery out on them.
