Aaron Bellazin Everman
Folks we been sleeping on Aaron Bellazin. I was just looking at a video of his Junior highlites-not sure I had seen him on video yet. Its a damn impressive video. Quick feet and nice strength. He manhandles opponents and I'd swear this kid has done some bull-dogging in rodeo in his past. He loves to pick them up and slam them down-did it about 8 times in the video. Didn't know he played DT-and I think eventually he may start at DE but end up being a NG when he gains some weight. MLB is possible too but I think quickness rather than pure speed is more apparent in this video of him playing DT. Where is SMU planning to use him. Wait to see his stats at the end of the video-an unbelievable (an alleged-because its hard to believe) 51 tackles for loss in his JUNIOR year. Most DEs don't make 51 tackles in a year let alone for loss. Don't think I've seen that high a number of TFL at any level. But then I looked at it again and there are at least 22 TFL in the video (in fact most every play in the video is a TFL) so I guess its possible. And remember he is actually playing DT not DE and DTs generally get less TFLs than DEs who come off the edge. For comparison SMU's NGs Parham/Pittman have a total 2.5 TFL on the year. Amazing video.
Surprised this kid hasn't gotten higher ratings

Most of what I've found on him has him listed in the 6-2, 220-230 range.
108 tackles, 9 sacks as a junior.
Reportedly has offers from Buffalo, Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico, San Diego State, SFA, Western Kentucky and us.

Rivals needs to have a special section called Stallion's Ratings
Re: Aaron Bellazin Everman
Seems like we are his best offer, although we have previously lost out in similar situations. The TFL stat may be accurate as, at his size, he is most likely significantly quicker than most of the decent sized OL's that he goes up against or stronger than the undersized OL's he goes up against. My one concern is that based on his offers, there may be issues with him qualifying at SMU as none of the typical schools listed on his interest/offer list are in the same academic ballpark as SMU. That being said, he looks like he has a lot of potential in an area of need for us.
PONY UP!

SMU.scout.com put up a good article on him last night. He is a serious player.

Great 3 steps of the ball and great hip explosion on contact, definite high motor guy. I'm not sure why he doesn't have more recruiting action. The only thing I can think of he's overlooked at his size because he's a DT. He could easily play DE and seems his frame could carry 275-280lbs.

Wow. This guy looks like the real deal. I wouldn't waste(can't think of a better word) that athleticism at NG. Say this guy gets to 260ish, he would make an amazing DE. Some great moves to get into the backfield and a non-stop motor. This guy could be a star

If we got him and either Parker Mack or Browning (or both) this really would be an amazing class! ( it already is going to be but that would be even better!)
