How would you feel if TCU won the NC?

Cincinnatti looks like it may be out of the picture. What if Texas loses to Nebraska? TCU then possibly (strong possibility) plays Florida or Alabama in BCS NC Game. TCU THEN WINS. NIGHTMARE!!!!! :twisted:

I'd be jealous, but it would also show the world that it is still possible for teams in non-BCS conferences to win it all, so ultimately it would be good for SMU

TCU would realistically need Nebraska to blow out Texas, Florida to blow out Bama and for Cincy to lose for there to even be a chance of this happening. TCU is still far enough behind the top 3 in the BCS poll that they are not guaranteed of jumping over any of those 3, even if two of the top 3 finish with 1 loss

We already know that it is possible. The fact that TCU is in the conversation means it is possible. That is already accomplished. Don't need TCU to actually win it to envision the possibility now.

No. If they get into the NC game we need them to be embarrassed. Beating a BCS team is fine and I will root for them if they play someone like the loser of Florida/Alabama, but as far as the NC game goes if they win they will squeeze us out of recruiting like crazy. They will also attract all the casual Metroplex fans and SMU will be an afterthought yet again.

well, if they do...and we go out and pull off a stunner in Lubbock next year...GameDay will be at Ford next fall for TCU-SMU

No question it would tremendously effect our recruiting against them.

Hahaha! Okay, if we're playing that game...and we do beat Tech, and then beat TCU and then go 12-0 and win the CUSA championship game against a top 10 ranked ECU, and there are no BCS conference teams with less than 3 losses, we could play for a NC!!!!!

Maybe we can get Big Game Bob's game plan for staying within 30 of Tech in Lubbock.

hey, I'm on you side. For the same reasons I have ZERO interest in watching Florida v Alabama. Hate 'em both.

What I do hope for is that TCU plays in a BCS game and has an experience similar to JJ's and Colt's last game for UH.

I actually would probably root for TCU against Alabama in, say, the Sugar Bowl. (I do want Fla to win today.) I just don't want TCU anywhere near the NC game.
