Re: UCLA ?
It's possible. It would involve Boise State getting a BCS bid and the WAC finding an at-large bowl to place one of either Idaho, Fresno, or Nevada.
Re: UCLA ?ESPN.com says if Wisconsin beats Hawaii, UCLA has a shot at the Humanitarian Bowl:
With Notre Dame's decision to not play in a bowl game, UCLA's chances of landing an at-large bowl berth are much better, though the Bruins may have to wait until Dec. 12 to get an invitation if they wants to stay in the region and play in the Humanitarian Bowl. The Boise-based bowl wants UCLA, Humanitarian Bowl executive director Kevin McDonald told the Idaho Statesman this week.
Re: UCLA ?I don't think they have to wait until Dec. 12. The Eagle Bank bowl is irrelevant to an at-large team because it goes to Marshall if Army is not eligible. The GMAC bowl is the open space--which likely goes to UCLA without Notre Dame in the mix, but they can always rearrange where people are going. I am surprised the Humanitarian bowl would ditch the home-state team to take UCLA, but maybe they think they can sell some skiing to the LA people and sell Hawaii to the potato farmers? But where does that leave the Bailout Bowl? With Fresno?
I would enjoy taking out Slick Rick though!
