Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterI totally agree with this article and I still dislike TCU, but they deserved better than this BS Bowl matchup. Both of them deserved better...it's a real shame.
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve better
Bingo. ![]()
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterAbsolutely agree. The intent of this matchup is clear. If TCU and BS were both to play BCS teams in bowls and probably win it would be another hole in the BCS armor.
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterthey would deserve better if we didnt have the BCS, but we do so too bad, get over it.

Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterIt is kinda sad that the Fiesta Bowl has bought into this thing. It was started because no one would invite ASU to a bowl, a WAC team, at the time. Now the Fiesta is just another shill for the BCS. Very much like the Hawaii bowl. The Hawaii bowl should, will get bigger.
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterCotton Bowl was bigger

Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterGee, let's all wring our hands and cry foul...The BCS is (sorry herbstreet) about MONEY. It has a formula for pitting No 1 & 2 that by design leans toward AQ and excludes non-AQ...that is to keep revenue in the "proper" conferences.
TCU had absolutely no chance to make this game, as did Boise. No conspiracies, no extra seconds added...it is the nature of the beast that we live with, but have not chosen to be with. For media outlets to cry about how a team got a raw deal is an angle for a STORY to sell advertisement and make MONEY...it has little to do with the news. It also strikes me as uniquely cynical for the 'watchdogs' to now get a convenient conscience when addressing this grievance post facto, instead of calling the hand of the bowl selection committee/BCS prior. stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve better
It has absolutely nothing to do with TCU or Boise State going to the National Championship game. Noone should've excepted that. It has to do with putting the top 2 non-BCS teams up against each other instead of letting them prove that they could actually hang with the big boys of the BCS. ![]()
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterYeah, I would have liked to see TCU against Florida. That way, if TCU won, I could be happy that a BCS team was taken down, and if TCU got destroyed, I could be happy because TCU was destroyed.
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betterDid Fiesta have the last pick? If they did not choose Boise would Boise be out?
I wonder. Boise should be OK with this since they got in. TCU should be very unhappy. I think it stinks in any case. Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve betteragree with what this guys is saying...and would venture a guess that almost all those "on the outside looking in" would agree. I expect there are even some among the BCS folks who would sympathize. Don't even try to convince me this is about putting together the "best" games or has anything to do with attendance figures. If the cartel isn't worried, let TCU go play Fla and get slaughtered and let Cincy crush Boise. SHOW US how superior these BCS programs are. Some of us would actually be interested in watching those games.
Re: SI article: Boise State and TCU deserve better
No, the Sugar Bowl had the last pick this year. They had to take Cincy though since the Fiesta and Orange both took at larges.
