I don't think he's coming close to going over the line. Doesn't give name of player, doesn't give school they are from, only gives the region that he is heading to. Heck, Doh said on the radio today that he was heading to California to recruit a guy tomorrow.
Doh's an idiot

Hey, another chance to fill out an expense report before you get canned. Go to Cali to "recruit" somebody. Hmmm. And I'm the King of Spain.

South Texas is a big area with lots of schools. Guess all you want...you still won't really know.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yes But RGV and I, having lived in that area, have knowledge of the programs that produce D-1 talent

speaking as someone who worked in SMU's recruiting and compliance offices while at SMU, this is NOT a violation.
For it to violate the rules he would have to name the player and then admit to some form of dirrect contact.
SMU Grad 1996 - Worked in SMU athletic recruiting office under Forrest Gregg and Bill Weidner from 1992-1997.
