Simply, Nebraska didn't finish it.

Exactly. Nebraska shot themselves in the foot with the 2 penalties at the end.

Doesn't matter. Game was over. Rationalize all you want.

It's been 3 days and Mr. Pony is still soooooooooooooooooooo bitttttttttttttter!

Man how I love his bitterness over something that was done correctly.

I also love it when the anti-Texas nation goes off the deep end.

Tag-team. No fair. :)

Hey, Patton. I'd dropped it, and was surprised to log on still see Stallion pontificating on the subject.

Rationalize? This is one of those "look who's talking" moments. I could write the definition of rationalize here, so you could see how you are misusing the term, but if I did you'd probably just launch into another rant. Trying to get you to accept something when you're determined at all costs not to see reality appears to be a losing proposition.

For the record, I didnt care who won, I was just watching the game. I am in no way, shape or form a Longhorn fan. The ball hit the ground with one second left, and the refs were following the rules by putting that second back. Temper tantrums wont change it. That's pretty much where reality comes to a stop, so I'll return you to your festering rage and conspiracy theories.

That's fine. And BTW, I wrote about my Texas connection, I forgot to mention that my favorite college athlete ever was the great Travis Mays. He was a warrior. Whatever jersey I got for a competitive sport I always chose 14 bc of him.

When I was growing up out West I remember watching Texas play at Moody. Think Mays was a freshman and he beat SMU on a three at the horn. Again that was before SMU was really on my radar. But coming to the Hilltop was one of the bes things I ever did.

I surely don't care about your childhood memories of UT - take it to the Texas board, someone there may.

Quit whining you member of the anti-Texas nation. Have yourself a big glass of deal with it.

I am not whining just wondering why anyone on the PONYFANS BOARD would want to know about how much you loved Texas as a kid. Spare me your childhood memories and post something worth reading.

PS: You should have posted it on the Basketball board.

PPS: I'll have a glass of Newcastle when you are buying.

All I can say is that Mac Brown was a nanosecond away from losing a game the same way Les Miles did. He and Colt McCoy hopefully said some prayers of thanks that night because while the ball did hit the ground before the clock turned to zero, it was close enough that another two yards of airtime and that game would have been lost to UT.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
