How in the heck does he not win the C-USA Special Teams Player of the year? No offense to the guy who won it from ECU, but they should know best of all what kind of impact his kick blocking ability has had on games. Running back kicks is one thing, but blocking 7 of them is on a different level. Here's a link to the C-USA web site with the information. http://conferenceusa.cstv.com/sports/m- ... 09aae.html

He isn't even on all freshman team, maybe our opponents are hoping he won't stay for 4 years.

Perhaps he isn't mentioned because he has created painfull memories for our opponents that they are trying their best to forget.

If you recall Snyder's pregame press conference, it's very telling. I think there's a lot of folks out there who still see him as a huge discus throwing novice who keeps getting lucky because he's tall. At least that's the way Snyder sounded before our game with them

I thought he might get Special Teams Player of the Year-I bet he got some votes but I really didn't see much on the Defensive side this year to warrant the honor

Out of his 7 blocks ...were they all Conference USA games? I bet he got votes but he didn't overwhelm the OL during the games until late in the season but he will get that honors before his days at SMU are through. We know the Marshall coach didn't vote for him as he complained to the referees that what he was doing was an infraction on pushing those poor centers during PAT and FG's.

Is it even possible for someone other than a punter, place kicker, or returner to get special teams player of the year? The reason I ask is because the Special Teams All-Conference players were only those positions and nothing else. Otherwise, I would have assumed Margus would have been a shoe-in for being on that list.

As permanent members of the Margus Hunt fan club (my youngest son the first among them!), we collectively want to say that they will rue the day they snubbed The Wolfstang! Wrong. Just wrong. And I don't have to be objective. Buncha pansies.
