Where is our man, Varsity Shart? He should step in and put a stop to this since he's such a PETAphile.

Jones could make a deal to change Hawaii's mascot and ours at the same time.

To sedate him for a long period of time is not good and if he gets upset, the airline has the right to terminate himas safety measure for other passengers.
The young one is different.
Pretty risky.

Yes Mrs. Pickens is spotlighting the mustangs’ plight in a variety of ways, including presenting live mustangs to Southern Methodist University, whose mascot is the mustang. Boone Pickens joked Thursday that SMU had sent him a bill for horse feed. Indeed, he paid it. Mrs. Pickens said Thursday she plans to fly SMU’s mustangs to Hawaii for an upcoming bowl game appearance if the football team makes the trip. http://www.stillwater-newspress.com/homepage/local_story_324122959.html

I am curious about something. And please THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BECOME A DISCUSSION OF PERUNA VS. GELDINGS. Merely a quest for the truth. After the first game with the new horses, when the arguments were ongoing concerning the new horses taking Peruna's place, everyone on the gelding side said "see, the new horses are here and Peruna is still around". My contention was that the change would not occur now but rather when current Peruna passed on to that stable in the sky, the school would just conveniently not replace him. Many people told me that was unlikely because the current Peruna was only about 7 or 8 years old and should live many more years. Now everyone says he is too old to lay on the beach in Hawaii. Truth please. I need the truth,

Answer: He's old for running up and down the field kicking, he's not old for laying around the stable.

Peruna VIII is 17+ years old. A successor has been picked..Peruna IX .. he is a colt about two years old and crazier than a hoot owl (check out the video): http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/8364/1142415?cpt=8&title=sports_at_clipsyndicate&wpid=0

OK. I was told by several that the current one was only 7 or 8. Thanks.

Peruna IX is a badace!!!
I hope VIII is healthy enough to make the trip, given the dismal years he has endured. Getting to retire after seeing his boys turn it around and go to Hawaii sounds like a hell of a story.\

The whole band? That would cost a small fortune, methinks.
