Re: COMMIT #22
Nothing much other than what was said at the luncheon. I heard this second hand, but supposedly the new recruit is one of the best safeties prospect the coaches have ever seen. Someone who was there can probably chime in and give a more accurate quote.

Re: COMMIT #22
I think the statement was that he was the best safety they had seen this year (not best ever).

It is Jake Farley. He previously committed to SMU over the summer, then switched to Louisville. But they have had a coaching issue, so he has supposedly come back to SMU with what is supposed to be a very solid commitment.

Some seem to think he will continue growing, and might end up playing linebacker.

I wonder why he did not have more offers. I guess we will see how good he really is. Maybe it's a reach, maybe not.MustangFan wrote:Competed in the Tampa DeBartolo Football Festival at the University of South Florida against players from Idaho, Iowa, Illinois, New Jersey, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, and Florida.

I don't know (obviously) if this is a reach or not - never heard of the guy. But I've heard several people say there is a TON of excitement over this commitment. Don't know enough specifics about why, but that's encouraging....

Re: COMMIT #22
You have to love this kid's size. On paper anyway, this kid has the size to compete with the largest WRs and even big TEs. Maybe a Darren Woodson starter kit (actually, this kid is 1" taller and only a few lbs. lighter than Woodson).
