Do we know if this is the official MC tailgate? I got the same email and forwarded it on to the MC for an answer. Have not heard back.

when I called Debbie a couple of weeks ago, she took my name & email and said she'd pass it along to anthony travel for whenever they came up with something...so I'm guessing that's it...and they probably shared the mc email list with anthony travel

Response from the MC

"This is the tailgate for everyone. This is the official tailgate hosted by the bowl. It offers a better event for the same price than we could offer on our own. We looked at other options and the cost/value didn’t meet our hopes. This event has entertainment as well as a better selection of everything else."

I am going to go ahead and get tickets.

I'm not buying two tickets to the tailgate for military personnel, though.

Just sayin'.

$55.00 for 3 hours? Nada. I will find my own party. That's Just over kill.
If it were going to charity it would be different. Not into the profit pocket of an over priced travel gig.

After 25 years of being "road kill", I can handle some "over kill" at a bowl game in Honolulu, Hawaii.

My understanding is that this tailgate is sponsored by the Bowl and by ESPN. I would assume that the travel agency gets nothing out of this except perhaps a service charge for handling the SMU tickets to the event. I went ahead and got tickets because this is a part of the game day experience.

I'm all in on this trip. You could sell me a sweatshirt there, probably.

BTW, my Anthony travel rep was having way too much fun on the phone with me.
