Leslee Smith

Christian Life Center Academy, and SMU commit Leslee Smith will play 4 games in the DFW area over the next 10 days, so if you want to take a look at our incoming player, this is the best opportunity. CLCA plays at Arlington Grace Prep on 11/24, and then 0n the 27th and 28th the Cougars will play 2 games in the Metroplex Thanksgiving Hoopfest, which will take place at the Metro Academy of Math and Science (1111Gibbins Road, Arlington), and then they are scheduled to play God's Academy on Dec. 1st. I cant tell you where God's Academy is located, it is apparently a closely guarded secret (not kidding, the schools location is unknown and they play their games in a variety of gyms and warehouses around town). I would speculate that this game will be hosted in a larger venue, such as Loos Fieldhouse, because it will draw a sizable crowd. When I find out where it will be, I'll post it.

Arlington Grace Prep is led by guard Jamal Branch, a top-25 national recruit who is committed to A&M.

In the first round of the Hoopfest, CLCA will face Provine, Miss., led by LSU signee Jalen Courtney.

CLCA was supposed to open their season on Friday night against Galveston Ball, but I cant find a score or box score from the game, yet.

Here is the Schedule ( they don't mention Leslee Smith for some reason) and address for the tournament and would be good for us to show up wearing some SMU stuff and cheer Leslie on...

all the CLC games are against very good competition, so this is a great opportunity to see the kid. Would be great if there was some Mustang gear in the stands. This kid is a huge part of the future.

Hard to find much info on Smith but here's the latest.

CHRISTIAN LIFE in LAS VEGAS
After the first round of action at the Bishop Gorman Classic, Humble Christian Life handed Timview (UT) their first loss of the season, 79-59. Leslee Smith bounced back from his worse game of the season (3pts vs Findlay Prep) to lead all scorers with 18pts. Devis Pukis hit 15 (5/5 from three pt land), Chris Coleman added 14, and Jason Carter 12 in the win.

Smith was matched up vs. Tristan Thompson(UT signee) in the Findlay game. Apparently he played well defensively on Thompson, but didn't get many touches. I think Humble Christian Life has some chemistry issues. I'd like to see us recruit their SG Pukis. He'd be the marksman we need in '11

Did everyone see Vilde's new evaluation from ESPN. He has the exact same number rating as Leslee Smith now.

November, 2009: A college ready big man who is as physical and tough as he is skilled, Vilde was Lee's most consistent performer this weekend. He has a big and strong body, likes contact in the post, and can dunk in traffic. Also tremendously skilled, Vilde consistently makes open shots from the three point line and has a definite go-to weapon on the low post with his reverse pivot jumper. Defensively, he bodies up well on the block but becomes less effective as he is pulled farther from the basket.
