Nevada's lead rusher out for the game

Postby rimrocker26 » Fri Dec 18, 2009 4:17 pm

Just thought Id let you guys know. You already know that Lippincott is undergoing surgery and out for this game, but now I guess Vai Taua didn't qualify academically or something along those lines, and will be out. So we will have our 3rd string RB in for the game, most likely Mike Ball.

Our strength is more our OL, so I think Ball will be great. He is a fan favorite from kick returns, and the one game he received significant minutes he was amazing. He was a 3-star recruit w/ Big 12 offers out of HS.

So two out of the three 1,000 yard rushers will be out? That should make a difference in the point spreads somehow....I understand the Nevada O line is good but this HAS to be a positive for us unless the scouting makes it difficult for us to counter....we will see. Your leading rusher was/is really good so it has to be good for us....

Remember when Marshall's leading rusher was out? We tried to make his backups into All-Americans.

Marshall's O-Line dominated us. It's easy to look like an All-American when you aren't touched until you've already gained 5 yards.

Well, it would seem that Nevada's O-line is more effective than Marshall's, so our boys have their work cut out for them.

Pony up, boys!

Yeah, our O-line is arguably the best in the WAC(I know not too much to brag about haha), but it is the strength of our team.
