great game...might take another Holiday Bowl like we had with BYU to top that one...only this time SMU will be the passing team that pulls it out on the hail mary in the end!

IMO the New Mexico Bowl last night was much like the 1968 Bluebonnet Bowl where SMU - Jerry Levias and Mike Richardson and that bunch - beat Oklahoma 28 - 27 on New Year's eve. My wife and I were at a party that night and I kept going down to the basement where there was a TV with the game. IIRC Sports Illustrated called that the best bowl game from a viewer's dtandpoint that season. I think it likely the same will be said about the Wyoming and Fresno game when all the results are in this season.

I was at the '68 Astro Bluebonnet Bowl. It was incredible!
