I swear, I didn't really think this was happening until last Saturday when I got my tickets in the mail for the Friggin' Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. I mean, 25 years....come on, there is a little magic dust feeling in the air. I'm just glad I can experience it along with other's in the Mustang Nation. Hopefully this will be the first of many more to come.

As we approach this game I remember the players recruited for twenty-five years by Gregg, Rossley, Cavan, and Bennett with the promise, "Suffer with me for three years and then go to a bowl every season." Hiw many programs have started over five times? In particular I remember the Miracle on Mockingbird which we were able to see and the 1994 game at UCLA which we saw in bar at LAX, having just flown in for another purpose.

One of the cameras used in the broadcast that day focused on the QB and I remember the concentration and determination of Ramon Flanigan calling down his line on that warm California day.
