what time do we play tomorrow and can I find it on TV?
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Props 2 DWill.

Other than that, nothing.

yea but Dwill was terrible in the first half and making free throws without pressure doesn't mean anything. So other than nothing, there was nothing.

positive for a change re: this circus.

Loved Doug's color tonight. He has great insight and pointed out the same mistakes that everyone [deleted] about on this board. Too bad he saw this whoopin and was talking about his Hawaiian food outings in the 1st half...

I always love his insight.
Can he coach? :D
I'm watching the last game right now & he was
just reviewing the first 3 games. All he said
about the UNLV SMU game was that it was over
when they tipped it off.

I believe it's 1 AM, Dallas time. No TV that I know of.

Root for Hawaii tonight, so they're on the other side of the bracket. We dont want to play them on their homecourt, tipping off at 1AM here, but 9PM there. Bodies just dont react well to that kind of time change, and hard exertion when they are normally asleep.

from what little I saw of this game, we were just made to play the game at a faster pace than our guys were capable of. Those 21 turnovers vs only 6 assists pretty much tells the story. McCoy and Williams with 9 turnovers vs only 4 assists. Ouch!

well, at least we get the matchup I wanted to see...SMU vs C of C in 2nd round. Haven't checked to see if this one is on channelsurfing.net but I do know if will be "past my bedtime". Some of us have to work on the 24th...even if it is my birthday.

Wow...you're birthday is pretty much on Christmas, kinda like that Holy guy. Except that He was most likely born sometime in September (not December), so maybe you should just give up on December all together and celebrate your birthday during a month during which we can (now) actually win a sport.

Okay, I confess I went to bed at halftime. I just couldn't watch it. Glad UNLV let the foot off the gas in the second half. What I saw in the first half were the following: (1) Three's attempted from too far out by players who have no business shooting them against a man to man pressure defense. (2) No capability of completing an interior pass. Do you guys know what a bounce pass is? (3) Telegraphing cross court passes against a quick team. (4) When we did press, UNLV started turning the ball over. If you're going to have an open bench with lots of substitutions, press the entire game. (5) Inability to draw the foul when you are down low with the ball near the bucket. (6) Inability to dunk the ball when you're near the bucket. Some of these are on the players, some are on the coaches. But clearly this team has no continuity or flow. Yes, they were trying. Yes, they were playing hard, but not playing smart. 13 turnovers in one half and 13 missed threes says it all. That's double your deficit right there. If instead of a goose-egg we got a 2 on 3/4 of those 13 missed threes that's 16 points. Perhaps a foul would have been drawn inside creating an opportunity for 3 point play. If we cut the turnovers down to 10 per game that's 14 points right there assuming not all turnovers result in baskets. So that's a whopping 30 points we passed up.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
