PURDUE DVD UPDATE

Postby Diehard Pony » Mon Dec 22, 2003 10:09 pm

For those that have contacted me about the subject DVD, I thought I would give you an update.

The disk is complete as of tonight. It includes the entire game (sans commercials), and includes interactive motion chapters so you can jump anywhere you want in the game. I have yet to print the labels for the disks and cases which I will do in time to get them in the mail tomorrow.

For anybody who loves SMU basketball and has not contacted me about getting a copy, I would urge you to do so. As a result of my editing, I have seen the game about 5 times, and still get goose bumps in watching us close out in the last 5 minutes.

Believe me, I am not making any money at $5 a pop, as media, postage and 55 minutes apiece to burn the disks pretty well eats that up. This is a labor or love. It will be the cheapest Christmas gift you have ever bought yourself.

If you are interested, email me. For those who have already requested a copy, they will be in the mail tomorrow.

GO PONIES!!

P.S. Despite the fact that Coach Dement has game film, I am sending one to him.

Geephunk,

We have had problems communicating by e-mail, so I thought I would double check here to see if you received my information in an e-mail this morning.

Got a request from a "Shawna", with an associated e-mail address, but I have not heard back from you. Perhaps the e-mail address provided via Ponyfans is no longer active.

Shawna, if you are still interested, please send me your address, etc., and your current e-mail address.

Thanks

I totally agree that this is duty over and above anything that should or could be expected. Kudos to Diehard!

My Christmas wish though, is that games like this in football and basketball become common enough that this type of service will not be as necessary or desired. I would like victories over top 20 teams to be more common than rare, and coverage to be national when a big game is played.

Good job again Diehard.

Thanks guys for the kudos....I do it for the love of the game, and I'm a videophile.

I also agree with Mrydel's thoughts.

Pony_Fan, look at the icons at the top of Diehard's post...the one that looks like a letter with a stamp on it can be used to e-mail him by clicking on it.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
