that choreographed dance circle was even better i thought. I'm almost always against this kind of nonsense, but this is the first time I've ever seen us have some real swagger, and i'm sure the recruits were soaking that all in. Just awesome.

That celebration was awesome. Sportsmanship be damned. Best line of the night was when the announcers said Nevada was just trying to salvage some dignity. Had to yell out that I've been waiting for I don't know how long to hear them say that about the team that isn't SMU.

If getting to go to Hawaii and winning a bowl game on national TV is not enough fun then I guess I don't know the definition of fun. The fact is that McNeal has only been at SMU a few months and is not really acquainted with all the years of frustration. His act was in poor taste. Good sportsmanship is never out of vogue.

Not a good idea but forgivable. All things considered, I rather enjoyed it. Just hope it doesn't become a part of who we are. I can remember going to SMU's last game in Reno and going down behind the Mustang bench and chatting with some of the parents. Grown men from Nevada were hanging on a chain link fence behind our team and taunting with such foul mouthed trash even I was disgusted. Security did nothing. Pay back's a [deleted], ain't it.

Bad manners is not limited to the football field. I remember going to BB games in Perkins Gym. There was a banner there that said "Mustang Cheers But No Jeers" It was considered bad sportsmanship to make noise when the opposing team was shooting free throws. Those were real SMU baskerball teams with Krebs and company. Likewise SMU crowds in the Cotton Bowl, real crowds, 50,000 plus, did not make a lot of noise when the opposing team was calling signals. I liked it better then. Sorry if that gets under someone's skin.
