Come on people, we set high screens so McCoy and Will can rub defenders off, theoretically get into the lane, and either finish or dish, depending on if the ball is stopped. You can't blame Doh for McCoy having the ball in his hands half the shot clock, pounding the air out of the ball, and then doing nothing w/a dwindling shot clock. It's like our primary ball handlers sabotage our sets, just so they can use the pick to iso.

you would think pride would takeover at some point unless team chemistry is bad too. In year 4, a lack of chemistry is on Doh too if thats the case. By this time, you should at least be starting to see the program gaining traction and the outline of something good. Think back to Dement, by this time the improvement was visible and we had lots of hope. And please no one say that doh had to start from scratch because so did Dement. He basically started from ground zero with Stephen Woods as starting freshman point guard from day 1.

true dat, but then you have to ask yourself why? Is McCoy insubordinate? Was his mindset this year that he just wanted to rack up stats to be able to transfer to a high major? Or did his mindset shift to that after fall practice and first few games? I don't know but Paul is Doh's guy, so no matter what the problem is, its Dohs problem.

I have lots of theories on McCoy, but what I'm most comfortable saying, is that both he & will think they are the best options. A bad shot by them is better then a good shot by whomever within the offense. I don't necessarily disagree w/them, but since they are our PGs/primary ball-handlers, it stagnates everything. We hurry up and wait until they are satisfied w/the pick, and whatever happens happens.

All that said, I can't explain off McCoy''s lack of shots, when he clearly could work for looks and launch. Could be a complete lack of confidence in his shot, which is understandable. I'm not sure he had the most productive summer, and that's not including transfer rumors.
