If someone told me we would split with those four at the beginning of the season i would have bet big money against it. The worst loss of the year was asu - we should win every game at home against lesser talent, and even without BHOP should have beaten San Diego on the road. Those hurt - not the Wake and OSU games.

Looks like we took a page out of the football scheduling handbook - schedule over your head even though you are building to make sure nobody cares before the conference season starts.

The OSU game hurt immeasurably because it was on national TV. Not only did we lose by 35 points but showed no heart. If we had played OSU a competitive game or showed some hustle, it might not have hurt at all. However, folding up like a cheap tent on national TV was seen by many of those who will be doing the choosing come tourney time (ie when their impression of a team is all that separates those with identical records or are otherwise close). People who were starting to think we had a team were laughing at SMU by halftime. This was as damaging as any loss could have been toward getting into the post-season.
