Kudos to the fans who were there. There weren't many, because (A) the game was early, (B) Hawaii isn't exactly a national power, (C) the teams were a combined 1-5 coming in, (D) there's some other game in Dallas this weekend (not that THAT game means anything) and (E) THE game was on TV. But those of you who were there stayed and cheered faithfully. I didn't see the standard mass exit we see at so many games. Those fans who were there today represent the best of SMU spirit and deserve a round of applause.

They didn't leave because, for once, SMU was winning and putting on a GREAT show until allowing Hawaii to come from behind to tie up the game! And who the heck would want to leave a game in OT??? I suspect that a lot of the fans were just in shock and were unable to move their legs after witnessing what happened!

There were fans there? All I saw were about 8,000 (if that) spectators. Maybe there was a large breakout of laryngitis or something, but I am embarrassed at the support. Say what you want about the team, it is still a pretty pathetic showing.

Besides the Squires, who I think are great addition to the games, were there any students there?

No not many students were there. The ones that came were few and far between...I do applaud the ones that came. Even if they had a hangover from the hard partying the night before.....

Even though the stands were in no way full, the ones that were there definitely were loud. I give them props.
