It do feel for Adam though. Seems to me like they took the info to the AD because they were just worried about his safety with the concussion or just were hoping to get a transfer to a Texas school since Leach wont allow that.
However I guess they were not expecting Leach to get suspended and this whole fiasco to ensue! From a lot of the TT players' comments it sound like Leach had lost the team anyway. Then again, I still dont know what to believe about the whole thing! Just sounds like the TT administration used James as a scapegoat to finally get rid of Leach.
But the TT fans are taking all of their anger out on James and not the TT administration.

Look - none of us knows what type of player he is attitude-wise - whatever the position coach was claiming was in defense of his boss after they got caught being stupid. They were in the beginnings of self defense mode. We just dont know - so no need to run the guy down. As for CJ - while he has not been as loyal as we would all have liked - you can't say he has been wrong about the assesment of our teams in the past - and he was a proponant of the JJ hire and I would guess is proud we are finally on our feet.

The reason not to have AJ on the team is he is not a fit athletically - its that simple. And I cant imagine anyone ever thought he was NFL material - that is just a joke. His Dad probably just wanted what was best for him...so I really dont fault CJ.

Now leach, however - that guy has rocks for brains. You have one player with a nationally known parent and he is the guy you decide to put in the box. What an idiot. Just cut his scholorship if you think he is a spoiled slaker. All he had to do was wait a week and then ask him to leave and "grant a transfer".

Instead - all the hay seeds are in an uproar cause their idiot pirate rick or whatever was canned. He and Knight can go start their own "really weird and bizarre ex tech coaches with possible anger management issues " society or something.

This type of player is a cancer to a team, when you have one like this about the only thing that correct the mess they cause is a little locker room justice when the coaches are not around.

None of us know first hand what kind of player he is. That's why the first sentence of my post was "IF JJ wants him". If he's a bad kid, no good coach would want him. If JJ wants him, he must think Adam is coachable and worth having.

This is so reminiscent of what caused 25 years of misery for SMU. Some little entitled punk [deleted] about playing time and the whole football program is basically destroyed. Although I have extremely fond memories of the Pony Express, I want nothing to do with Adam James or Craig James. We've moved on. What a pathetic story this is.

I dont know what kind of a kid he is, I do know when he showed up at TT playin football, I was shocked. The kid didnt even start all games at Celina HS at TE his senior year, he alternated with another player and he was healthy. Wasnt sure how and why he ended up at TT, but anyway, I thought he was D-2 talent at best in HS when I saw him play a couple of times. Craig was always at his HS games on sidelines sporting the 10 gallon west texas cowboy fedora.

Adam James is a loser in the same mold of his daddy. Craig is terrible in the booth for it seems he always has a huge chip on his shoulder and tries to make it all about him. I have tried to like the guy especially being a former player myself, but I can't stand the guy. I can't believe he is even talking about this on TV, but it just shows how big and important/powerful he thinks he is. He just needs a good whoopin to bring him down to earth. Sounds like father like son to me from everything I have read from previous Tech players and coaches. Daddy James has done nothing for SMU since leaving and good riddence. I wouldn't even acknowledge that fagot if he dared come around the hilltop. I wish he would get booed at the Doak Walker banquet. I only want people around who are 100% pro SMU even during dark times. SMU made Craig James, and he bailed on us, and has failed to support us for years. He should be banned forever. He has such a big ego, and I cringe at the thought of any of us at SMU reaching out to his sorry butt in any way. Keep the cancer away.

I think a quick glance at the Tech board is flat out scary - and sad for them. You can tell these people dont have enough postiive things going on in their life if the football coach getting fired sends them over the cliff like this. A little football success has become their surogate family. They all need hobbies or kids or something. Its emabarrassing to be in the same state.
