A friend of mine actually used to work for Texas Tech in a non-athletic area of the university. This is EXACTLY how he described that place operating.

SMU lands a charismatic, proven coach. SMU goes to a bowl and dominates, getting plastered all over ESPN. SMU's first opponent for next year is in complete disarray, and the OTHER charismatic pass-happy celebrity coach in the state is fired making recruiting easier. Houston gets embarrassed in their bowl, making recruiting easier.

Just wondering. What exactly is the whole story on Dale Hanson? Seen a lot of stuff about him over the past few years. And saw him on the Article 19 trailer. I know he is a reporter, but what is his connection to SMU and the Death Penalty?

I actually keep stirring the pot with some of my Tech friends on Facebook. They just keep ranting about how fantastic Leach is, and how it's all about Adam James just being pissed about not getting playing time. I have posted the DMN link to the emails at least a couple times already as a follow-up.

In my wildest dreams, I could never, EVER asked for a better Christmas - a big SMU bowl win AND Mike Leach getting fired! What did I do to ever deserve this blissful state that I am in? There is a God!
