For some reason, even though Mitchell was the QB then, I came away from that game feeling better about where this thing was for us. I really thought that was one of the better games we played this year.

Looking forward to that road trip in 2010. Hope that the weather is bit better than last time we went to Annapolis.

Annapolis Is a great road trip even in the rain and wind. Hopefully will be sunny and warm this year but will be there regardless.

I'm planning to make the trip too. Should be a great time and win.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I totally agree as after watching the way the coaches prepared for the OL and their blocking schemes this year and hung on with a tough Navy team ( I still am disappointed with us not calling TO's at the end of the first half when we had them down backed up at the 6 yard line with all of our TO' left and 1.5 minutes left), I came away impressed with the preparation. I remember the Navy games in the past and I know we didn't have as many fast athletes etc, we still never looked as prepared to play them.
Good for them on their big win. A class insititution.

I had the same feeling. For the first time since Mike Cavan had those good defensive units, I thought that we were matching up physically with a pretty good team. Oh, and what an improvement over the year before in Annapolis.

According to CBS, we already "had our way with Navy in the Hawaii Bowl!"

Nice to hear them talking about us on nationally televised games though.
