Bet the Pirate is wishing he'd taken one of those big $$$$ job offers last year.

Leach never had any job offers, or else he would have been gone before he self-destructed. The guy's agent was begging schools to interview him so he would have leverage in contract negotiations - read the e-mails obtained by the DMN.

No one wanted to touch Leach because he was such a nutcase. They sure as heck don't want to hire him now.

I look for Leach to be hired eventually at some small school that gets even less media coverage than Tech. Then he can REALLY put up huge offensive numbers and build his own Abu Gharaib-style practice facility.

mr. pony comes out of the bushes to knock June Jones after Diamond girl brings up her point that SMU has a coach, June Jones, who might hold himself above Orsini and Turner. Alaric counters in a positive note, Mr. pony makes a comeback, goes deeper in negativity. Where's bagice, I haven't seen a lot of posts from mr. pony and bagice ever since SMU beat Tulane.

Bottom line is that the Pirate Boy is a big j*%k-off. Punishing someone, anyone whether they're "lazy and spoiled" or not, for having an injury shows the type of mentor he is. Using the notariety of CJ and the James family to divert attention from his own soured relations with his administration is pathetic. Trying to run up the score at Ford Stadium a few years back was classless; at least Phil Bennet knew how to respond.

He is a classic bully. He can dish it out against a 20 year old but can't take it when going up against the administration. His beef should be with them, but he goes after the player. Has any coach ever gone after a player like that so publicly? He is a pathetic excuse for a human being and he finally got what was coming to him.

On ESPN interview, coach Leach identifies one of the the players who spoke out against him as chris perry, roommate of Adam James, and he serves on the scout team. He too has complained of lack of playing time, been disciplined twice by Leach and the school placed him on academic probation in the past.

I'm guessing he didnt mention Tech's center who echoed Perry's comments?

I think JJ put it best....the guy not on the field SHOULD be pissed that he's not playing

Leach's legal counsel hasn't thought this out. What are they going to do trash the reputations of all 10 of the kids who have made comments in favor James-most have not even made comments yet-there are obviously many more. He will never get another job if he continues down this path of trashing student athletes.

the editor of one of the Tech recruiting services said about 90% of Texas Tech players are fine with Mike Leach not being at the bowl game. They seem to have a very different opinion than alms and fans

I agree that the consensus of the players is that Leach is a creator of considerable stress and tension. The players are comfortable with and complementary of their position coaches and just want to stay away from Leach. The support of Leach seems to be emanating from the TT fans who believe that winning is everything which justifies all conduct.
