He also hasn't had 2 shots blocked and a couple of TO's. He can't score like BHop but he has other attributes and tries to run the offense.

I know what you think of Bhop, and you might not like it but SMU has consistently been outplayed very badly anytime Hopkins is not on the floor. Voc may keep a low profile, but that doesn't mean he is productive.

No- You think I don't like BHop. I do. I just don't think he is as good as everyone said. He makes a lot of mistakes but we are better with him. I don't think we forfiet games when he has 3 fouls though.

A big part of Bhop's troubles stem from the fact that he shoulders too much of our scoring load. The guy I'm still waiting on is Justin Isham. had hoped he would step up this year and become a scorer but he seems to disappear all too often. Bennett may turn out to be a player in the next couple of years, but let's hope Roberts comes in here with that shooter's mentality. Sure would take some heat off Bhop if he had a big time scorer to "set up". Most of the time Bhop penetrates, he ends up forcing shots and that has a lot to do with other guys standing around instead of moving into position to get good looks of their own. That's my 2 cents from the games I've seen.

I certainly agree that they all stand around if they don't have the ball except for Castro. Isham should have been better. I don't know why he just seems to have no energy. Simpson plays so soft and he seems to have lost his ability to catch the ball. Way too many TO's when Castro or Bhop can get him the ball.

I didnt say forfeit, but the odds were bad, real bad. If he stays in the game, he has to be unagressive with foul trouble. If he goes to the bench, our track record is not good at all with him not in the game.

I just wish we had a player of the caliber of Kirk Snyder. The guy is fantastic.

agreed. This night was simply too much Snyder. I assume we are playing, or at least trying to, play good defense against him, too.

He wrecked KU earlier this year too and they tried every defense they knew for him. The guy just does everything well.

Fazekas is a skinny, 6-11 frosh who was Colorado's "Mr Basketball" last year. Did Patrick Simpson win that award his Senior yr in H.S.? Oh well, so much for us covering that 9 pt spread!

Overall not a very good effort from the Ponies but Snyder was on fire and we couldn't begin to keep Fezekus off of the boards. I think Fezekus was only 8 for 10 or so because of all the easy put backs he had .Between the hard road trip and the altitude, I feared we wouldn't play well but still had hopes. Thankfully, we can go home now. Probably our only bright spots were BHop's shooting and the continued solid play of Castro. Justin-Where are you?

Yeah- Pat was Mr. Basketball for Colorado. He showed a really nice jumper but was a little soft in HS too. He has been very disappointing this year. I think he is probably our second highest recruit but hasn't played very well this year. He shows flashes but not very dependable.

No, we lose when we play more talented and physically tougher basketball teams, on the road. We needed a split on this trip to be early contenders for the WAC. We are already two games behind the leaders now.
