Congrats to our WOMENS team

For playing their guts out and winning over Nevada.

But it's not as if any of you would know, since you spend all day griping about the Mens team. I hardly ever see a womens thread or post, unless it's some HUGE game, whereas the men could be playing some high school team, and there be dozens of posts about it.

I'm not saying this to belittle our mens team because they need support, too, but it's so wonderful to be cheering in Moody along with a good couple hundred people total. It just warms my little SMU heart [/end sarcasm].
Oh you gotta love it. The horns, the drums, the noise! It's all for the love of music, for the love of the game.

These wins were a nice rebound after the loss to New Hampshire and the squeaker over Maine, teams we should pound. I thought we looked especially good against Fresno. Kaira White is becoming a terrific point guard.

They've beaten Tulsa, Fresno, and Nevada that's a good start in the WAC. Unfortunately, they had a tough Nov/Dec and won't get a bid, unless they can figure out a way to Beat La. Tech.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I've seen it happen before, back when the WAC was the WAC 16 (last year we went to Vegas for the tournaments) SMU who had lost to Colorado State every time they played in the regular season ( I want to say twice but don't remember that well). When they got to the tournament, we got hot and beat CSU (who was then number 3 or 4 in the country) in the championship game. If some of these players can step up the way Karlin Kennedy and Karen Blair did that game, it is entirely possible. I would love to see it happen although I won't get to be there in person to see it.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

All I got to say is, That we have to find a way to beat Louisana Tech. Like yall said if we cant beat Louisana Tech then we have no chance to win the WAC or even have a shot of getting into the tournament.

The Daily Campus article says the ladies are in second place, but isnt it actually a 3 way tie for first, with Tech and Rice?
