Its not hate for Colt - its the realistic judgement that although an exceptional college athlete - he does not project as a high NFL draft pick since he is not a pocket passer who slings it down field. I would not be surprised if he dropped out of the first round.

Gilbert actually projects better for the NFL is he keeps learning and improving.

Coulds, Shoulda, Woulda, With McCoy, UT wins that game. Till he got hurt Bama was on the ropes. That game could have been 14-0 Texas. With the UT defense T-ing off on Mc Elroy. But hey none of that came to pass.

You are right, it COULD have been 14-0, but it wasn't. Alabama wins that game hands down regardless who plays quarterback. Texas could not stop the run until Alabama went to the four corners in the third quarter. As soon as Texas got close, which I do admire them for not giving up, Alabama started it up again and won by the margin it should have been.

I wish CUSA could be the joke that the SEC is...pretty nice run of national championships. It's up to everyone else to "catch up"

They didn't beat the best the Big 12 had to offer. They beat a team that lost their best player, captain, and probably heart and soul. It would be like Peyton Manning going out for the Colts in the Super Bowl. McCoy was that important to that team.

So Alabama is to blame for Texas' putting all of its offensive eggs in the Colt basket? If your entire offense is predicated on the quarterback, it would be a good idea to have a second quarterback prepared to play.

The bottom line is that Colt and daddy were worried about the NFL and McElroy, et. al. were more concerned about winning the National Championship.
