Jesse Scroggins
With Pete Carroll apparently leaving USC, reports are surfacing that many of the 2010 commitments are receiving calls from other schools. I believe we actively pursued Scroggins. Would we initiate calls to him under the current circumstances ?

I'll take this guy please:

He was supposed to sign and enroll early with SC this coming Monday, but has now backed off. Says he can't get the coaches to call him back. Very poorly handled by the SC administration.
I can't wait until we get some blue chip WR's in here. You'd think they would be knocking down the door trying to get in this system.

Re: Jesse Scroggins
Bad day for an friend of mine...he was handling the PR situation/crisis management for USC. He won't talk of course, but I gather they were hoping to keep this contained (violations) to the basketball program--fall on their sword in basketball then get a pass on their major violations under Pete Carroll in football.
New USC president coming in and all hell is about to break out. Just like the football coaches, the recuits should bail out also.

I wasn't paying attention, but wasn't there a second "Reggie Bush" violation this year that benched a Junior RB that is now announcing for the NFL?

I read today that apparently Carroll had been odered to be deposed under oath with regard to the Bush inquiry-I don't know that for a fact or the significance but the rats are usually the first to jump a sinking ship. Here's story about the depositions
