Maybe have 5pm games when daylight savings time comes.

First, it needs to remain Ford Stadium, he paid for it. But a name for the field and "bowl" in which we play is not a bad idea. I suggest we get a number of people together to meet and decide on an appropriate name. The gathering can be called a bowl movement.

I say 5-6pm night games through October, and then day games through November when it gets colder

what a bunch of fairies. how about you let your kid stay up until 11. Does anyone think UT or Nebraska cares about when the kids are getting home? YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME.

I like a split...about 3 night games early to avoid the heat and close out the season with 3 afternoon games for some sunshine. What time did most of the Hawaii games kickoff? i would definitely be opposed to 100% night games....oh and if we rename the stadium lets go with Pickens Mustangs Stadium....just to [deleted] off the cry-baby horse kooks!

Agreed ML! -- this is football, not family night. UT or LSU aren't going to cry about start times. Time to change attitudes around here :) - that is funny Mrydel!

Time to relearn some old lessons around here-plus you will deplete road game ticket purchases from schools like Tulsa, Rice and UH fans who like to do daytrips but don't want to spend a nite. I'll be there but I know from experience there is a large segment of our fans who will not show for a late October or November game if temperature dips below 60. Then there is the students who each will have better things to do on a Saturday Nite. Nobody in Texas voluntarily does this-unless they are on TV and of course I have no problems with it if we are on TV. Watch and learn

Football should be played on a crisp fall AFTERNOON. For night games If you don't tailgate, and face it we don't have 30,000 people tailgating, then you have to eat dinner way too early to be able to make the game or wait until after the game when not much is open. Crappy nacho's does not a dinner make. Having all night games is a BAD idea.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

another reason I don't like it is that I think its bad for the wide open passing game we use. In November you might get some games in the low 40s and I think that's not good for passing or receiving. That's why the passing game is utilized in the South while the schools in the North like to run the ball more

Agreed on the daytrips. I certainly can't afford a hotel for every game!
